Work that we completed with the [NDA](http://nda.ie/) and the [Centre for Excellence in Universal Design](http://universaldesign.ie/) has been recognised by the [Zero Project Awards](http://zeroproject.org/). The formal announcement of the win happened at the UN in Vienna from the 10th to the 12th of February 2016. We did a body of work developing toolkits for the Energy and Tourism sectors in relation to Universal Design and the Tourism sector work has been recognised as best in class. We are delivering workshops around Ireland over the past year in the area of Tourism and have just recently rolled it out in the UK with Visit England. The Zero Project received 333 Innovative Policy nominations from 100 different countries around the world. Of these, the Zero Project expert network selected 12 policies that measurably advance the right of persons with disabilities to be included in education and/or access information , communication and technology. The Irish Standard I.S. 373:2013 on Universal Design for Customer Engagement in Tourism Services, 2013 was one of these shortlisted winning innovative policies. The toolkits we developed for the Energy and Tourism sectors are an easy to follow approach to ensuring Universal Design is integrated into all service touchpoints. The rollout of the tourism toolkit has been hugely successful to date and we look forward to the further development of our work in the area of the Energy Sector. ![ZeroProjectAwardEnsemble](https://www.dolmen.ie/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/ZeroProjectAwardEnsemble-540x350.jpg?width=540&height=350&name=ZeroProjectAwardEnsemble-540x350.jpg) Previous Story [← 2016 off to an F1 start](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/news/2016-off-to-a-f1-start) [** ](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news) Next Story [Ignition Racing speed to National Finals! →](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/news/ignition-racing-speed-national-finals) ## You May Also Like These Stories on Awards [![](https://www.dolmen.ie/hubfs/2022/GUINNESS-Nitrosurge_03%20%281%29.png) ](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/guinness-nitrosurge-has-the-design-advantage) [Product Design](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/tag/product-design) ### [Guinness NitroSurge has the Design Advantage](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/guinness-nitrosurge-has-the-design-advantage) Apr 11, 2023 10:18:33 AM | 1 min read [![](https://www.dolmen.ie/hubfs/20220620_223242430_iOS.jpg) ](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/dolmen-celebrates-triple-red-dot-award-win-with-guinness) [Product Design](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/tag/product-design) ### [Guinness awarded world's most prestigious product design award, Red Dot](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/dolmen-celebrates-triple-red-dot-award-win-with-guinness) Jun 20, 2022 9:00:00 PM | 3 min read [![](https://www.dolmen.ie/hubfs/2818_170.jpg) ](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/podium-topping-trio-of-idi-awards) [Product Design](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/tag/product-design) ### [A Podium Topping Trio of IDI Awards](https://www.dolmen.ie/awards-news/podium-topping-trio-of-idi-awards) Dec 9, 2021 2:23:44 PM | 2 min read ** ### Subscribe to stay up to date! ## No Comments Yet Let us know what you think [![dolmen-logo-white](https://www.dolmen.ie/hubfs/dolmen-logo-white.svg "dolmen-logo-white")](https://www.dolmen.ie/) Copyright © Dolmen Design & Innovation Ltd.
